Diet and Exercise
This is the area of my life that has been out-of-control. Since the birth of my twins in 2002, I have lost (and then gained back) 15 lbs four times. I can do (much) better. So I’m making small decisions, good choices, maintainable goals… to be better.
Here are my solutions to do better:
- No eating after 7pm.
- Drink water
- Get to the gym 4 days a week
- Walk after evening meals
- Avoid hydrogenated fats
- Avoid high fructose corn syrup

The no eating after 7 REALLY helps!! It is a hard time of the evening..When I feel I am getting the munchies..I will make myself a cup of tea w/ splends and a tiny bit of Fat free half and half!!
Thanks for visiting my site…I havent tried the pumpkin gooey butter cakes..I bet those are good!

I’ve lost nearly 80 pounds on Weight Watchers in the past two years–and I eat right up until the time I go to bed. I guess that’s an individual thing, the not eating after 7. And I drink LOADS of fat free half-and-half. Coffee, which does not keep me awake, is an absolute staple for me.
I think for me the biggest factor in weight loss has been exercising an hour a day, every day. Latest research shows that those who lose weight and successfully keep it off exercise a total of at least 55 minutes per day. (That doesn’t meant a straight hour, but it can. It can be broken up to a couple or three different periods of real exertion.)
There’s no one diet for every body. I found after a lot of experimentation that the aspartame in Diet Coke tended to stall my weight loss, so I switched to Diet Rite–sweetened w/Splenda, no caffeine, no sodium–and I like the taste better, too!
